Interview: WC on SixShot.com

WC spoke to SixShot.com to talk about the release of the Westside Connection album, Terrorist Threats.
SIXSHOT: How do you think you new album will impact hip-hop today? The whole interview transcript is available on sixshot.com at: http://www.sixshot.com/interviews/2739/
WC: I think it is going to impact hip-hop today. I think it might be kind of hard for some people to digest because their body is so polluted right now with so much bullshit that is out there. When we drop this record it is going to be refreshing, it's going to be something a lot of people want to see, except if they don't have the balls for it. I don't know how else I should say it.

Interview: WC on DubCNN (Again)
Westcoast2k at DubCNN conducted an October 2002 interview with WC prior to the release of his album, "Ghetto Heisman".

Where do you feel the West Coast Hip Hop state is. Like these years has it set us back or pushed us forward?
Definitely put us forward. With artists like Dre, Snoop Dogg doin his thang. I think we didn’t go back, we didn’t go back at all. I think Hip Hop in general has improved, but I think the love for the artform has gone backwards. As far as Westcoast, I think we have grown and I think we could do some more collaborations on the Westcoast amongst eachother and help get that shit on another level. But its all gravy though, its gonna happen. Cause you know when we got together we did the Up In Smoke Tour, we turned heads across the whole world. And that’s something we need to do more. But I think Westcoast Hip Hop is definitely on the rise.

Interview: WC on DubCNN
Rud at DubCNN conducted an interview with WC on September 18, 2002.

Rud : What can we expect from your 2nd solo release : Ghetto Heisman
WC : Ghetto Heisman, man expect a gang of ghetto oriented ass activity going down on there on the real....the song of the album is bangin, we got a few collabs on there, on this album...I did a few more collabs than I did on my last few albums, actually I didn't do many collabs on my last few albums...but on this one right here I got, Snoop Doggy Dogg of course on the 1st single, I got my hometown collabs, I got Cube and Mack on there (Westside Connection) umm I did a song with Case - flip the script for a wider audience - but we kept it Gangsta ya know, rick rock did the track, songs called "Flirt" - umm I got Scarface on the album, yea face is on there, song called "So Hard" - its off the chain! I got one of my artists on there by the name of Doctor Stank that im working with he's got a deal over at MCA , he off the rick wit it. I got Butch Cassidy & Kokane on the album as well, I got MC Ren on the album too, man Ren brought it...sounds like some NWA type shit - song called "Wanna Ride" yea its bangin - you gonna hear the explicit off the chain mix on the album - shits off the hook!
